Created in 1913 for the Gaelic League’s Seachtain na Gaeilge, this striking poster contrasts two visions of Ireland — one rooted in Irish language and identity, the other looking towards Britain.

Designed by artist Frances Georgiana Chenevix Trench, the original artwork captures a moment when the revival of Irish was closely tied to a wider cultural awakening.

DOCUMENT 001 reproduces the original 1913 artwork with minimal intervention, allowing its typography, symbolism and message to speak for themselves. Part of EIRIN ARCHIVES — a continuing collection drawn from Ireland’s visual history.

How To Measure

Length: Place the end of the tape beside the collar at the top of the tee (highest point shoulder). Pull to the bottom of the shirt.

½ Chest: Lay flat. Measure at the seam under one sleeve across to the seam under the opposite sleeve.

Product measurements may vary by up to 2" (5cm).
